Cookie Policy

What cookies and similar technologies we use, why we use them, and how to control your preferences.

Effective 29 April 2026 · Last updated 29 April 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how TPC Media Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on www.theplatinumcapital.com. We try to keep cookies to a minimum, give you genuine control, and stay on the right side of the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

Section 01

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to gather information about how the site is being used.

We also use closely related technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags. For simplicity, “cookies” in this policy refers to all of them.

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we treat the personal data we collect through cookies.

Section 02

Categories of cookies we use

We group the cookies we set into four categories. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because they are required for the site to function. The other three categories are switched off by default and only activate after you opt in via our cookie banner or preferences panel.

1. Strictly necessary

These cookies make the site work. They allow you to navigate, sign in, save articles, and use security features. They cannot be switched off in our systems. Examples include the session cookie that keeps you signed in and the cookie that records your theme preference (light or dark mode).

2. Functional

These cookies remember choices you have made (such as preferred language or country) so that we can give you a more personalised experience.

3. Analytics and performance

These cookies help us understand how the site is being used so that we can improve it. They tell us which pages are most popular, how visitors arrive at the site, and where errors occur. The information they collect is aggregated and, where possible, pseudonymised.

4. Advertising and marketing

We do not currently run third-party advertising on the site. If we introduce advertising in future, this category will cover cookies that show you our promotional communications across other websites or measure the performance of those communications. We will require fresh consent before activating this category.

Section 03

Section 04

How to control your cookie preferences

You can control cookies in a number of ways:

  • On this website:use the cookie banner that appears on your first visit, or the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer to change your choices at any time.
  • In your browser:all major browsers let you block, delete, or be alerted about cookies. The exact instructions depend on your browser and version — the help centre for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge will guide you.
  • Industry opt-outs:for advertising cookies generally, you can use industry opt-out tools such as the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance’s youronlinechoices.eu.

If you disable strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site — including signing in — will not work properly.

Section 05

Third-party cookies

When you click through to embedded content (such as a video, social-media post, or partner page), the third-party site may set its own cookies. We have no control over those cookies. Please consult the relevant third party’s privacy and cookie policies for further information.

Third parties whose technology we currently use, and who may set cookies on this site, include Google (Sign-In and Analytics), Cloudflare (security and CDN), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email).

Section 06

Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no industry-standard meaning for DNT and major analytics providers do not honour it consistently, we do not currently respond to DNT signals. Our cookie preferences panel offers a clearer way to control non-essential cookies.

Section 07

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as we add new features, change service providers, or update our analytics setup. The current version is always the one published on this page.
